Google Cloud Next '25 has left the Qodea team buzzing with excitement and filled with new ideas. It was an incredible week in Las Vegas, packed with groundbreaking announcements, insightful sessions, and invaluable opportunities to connect with customers, partners and Googlers. We were thrilled to be a part of it all.
There were so many highlights, but it was a proud moment to see members of the Qodea team sharing their insights and expertise on stage.
On Wednesday, Leanne Kelly, Director of Marketing took to the stage to showcase how Qodea is effectively leveraging Google's Partner Marketing Studio to significantly scale and fast-track marketing campaigns. Her presentation was a resounding success, highlighting the tangible benefits of this powerful tool.
Martin Hawksey, Digital Workplace Specialist also had a busy week, participating in a live podcast recording as well as hosting a fantastic Apps Script developer meetup alongside Steve Bayzl. This session featured invaluable tips and tricks from Google Workspace experts Alice Keeler and Amit Agarwal, and even included an impromptu Q&A with Apps Script PM Michael Donoso, who hinted at exciting upcoming platform improvements.
Martin also took to the stage with Serge Lachapelle, Outbound Product Management for Google Workspace,Chanel Greco, Developer Advocate at Google and Rafael de Almedia Goginho, Lead Engineer at Nubank. The session explored how customers are leveraging Google Workspace to boost efficiencies, drive productivity, and reduce user workloads. Martin shared compelling Qodea customer stories, including how we helped DK overcome the challenge of creating an "infinite" number of Google Slides and highlighted our innovative approach to AppSheet hackathons and transformation sessions with South East Water.
Watch Martin's session hereNetworking and collaboration were also central to our Next experience. We were delighted to sponsor the Benelux Reception, which provided a fantastic opportunity to connect with partners and customers from the region. The rooftop bar provided the perfect location to engage in insightful conversations and strengthen relationships.
Beyond the official conference program, Qodea had a truly unique and "mind-blowing" experience with a sneak peek at the collaboration between Google, DeepMind, Warner Bros., and Magnopus at The Sphere. Witnessing the reimagining of the classic film "The Wizard of Oz" using Artificial Intelligence (AI), it was a simply unbelievable experience. The enhanced resolution, new character performances, and the overall immersive experience felt like stepping directly into Oz. We felt incredibly fortunate to have front-row seats for this groundbreaking event.
And let's not forget the incredible entertainment! The performances by The Killers and Wyclef Jean added an unforgettable element to the week, making Next an event we won’t forget in a hurry.
It’s no surprise that AI took centre stage at Google Cloud Next '25. A few key highlights really stood out. For those in marketing and content creation, the announcements and demonstrations around the next generation of Google's image and video generation models, Imagen 3 and Veo 2, were particularly exciting. These advancements promise significant leaps in video and image production capabilities, which is certainly something to keep an eye on. Additionally, the integration of Apps Script with the new Workspace automation solution, Flows, was a hot topic of discussion and holds immense potential for streamlining workflows and boosting productivity within Google Workspace. Lastly, it was clear that Google is really focusing on the Developer Experience, with the GDE Breakfast of Champions and the Apps Script meetup underscoring their commitment to enhancing the experience on the Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The potential platform improvements for Apps Script are definitely something we're keen to see.
